The mission of this role is to help farmers find the best traction solutions for their equipment by asking great questions, identifying the best solutions, presenting the options, and winning the sales. You are the Trusted Guide helping farmers to become the best. To succeed in this role, you must have a solid understanding of agriculture. We can train the sales and product knowledge portion of the role.

Qualifications

  • You have worked with farmers and are comfortable dealing with this demographic.
  • You understand the importance of proper equipment setup to the overall profitability of a farm. You can explain that cutting up-front expenses or taking the cheap way out isn’t always in a farm’s best interest.
  • You are familiar with various farm implements and their uses. You can recognize the major equipment brands as well.
  • You have solid customer relations experience. You understand that lasting relationships aren’t built on only one conversation. You take notes after every contact.
  • You are comfortable selling an idea (e.x. how a particular tire technology can increase a farm’s productivity). You will not have a physical product on hand to use as a prop.
  • You are motivated: You can’t wait to get to work, connect with farmers, and help them identify and solve problems.
  • You know what a toxic work culture is, how it holds you back, and how you need to think and act to avoid creating one. (Our business wants to build employees’ lives, too.   • You work well with others to build a strong team. (And have a history of doing so.)
  • You are comfortable working in an office and spending 90% of your time working with farmers over the phone at a sitting or standing desk.

Some of the Accountabilities that will be expected of you in this role:

  • Handle Inbound Calls/Leads - Between 20 and 30 inbound phone calls per day, and about the same amount of outbound follow-up calls.
  • Preparing & Sending Quotes - Identify the best traction products to suit the farmers needs, research to ensure best value, and send quote to Farmer.
  • Setting/Negotiating Trade-In Values - Calculate and evaluate values on trade-in tires, wheels etc.
  • Manage Pipeline/Sales Process - Qualify and organize opportunities and have a plan to follow up the most important ones. Build rapport with key customer.
  • Outbound Prospecting - Actively reach out to existing and potential customers to build rapport and identify new opportunities.
  • Product Knowledge Training - Gain a deep understanding of tires, wheels, hardware and any other traction products we offer.
  • Research & Discovery - Keep up to date on current trends and technology in the agriculture industry, and ensure you are always offering the best solutions every time.

Currently we have a team of 4 inside Sales Consultants, 1 Outside Sales Rep, and 2 Business Development personnel. This would be the team you would be part of working with.
